Let’s address this new elephant in the room…

Gymnastics strength is something that you are going to be seeing a lot of in the next few months.  The reality is that the grand majority of you can do Fran (21-15-9 Thrusters and Pull Ups), but only struggle through the gymnastics portion.  This is true of most workouts taking place at the gym and it is an issue we will spend all summer trying to remedy.  Before you flood any inboxes with your resignation, please note that some of the weightlifting we will do this month will be the heaviest to date…so there’s that.  Furthermore, you will start to see a greater shift from the L1 workouts and the L2 workouts.  Before they were designed to be similar, but this summer, the L2 will only be for those who are capable of pushing the limits because they can do so safely, and not just because they want to.  Be aware that with all of this additional heavy lifting and gymnastics, mobility will have to be a priority.
